Nestlé, the global food giant, has introduced a groundbreaking range of powdered milk products named N3 in China. This new offering, enriched with essential nutrients and prebiotic fibres derived from cow’s milk, targets lactose-sensitive individuals and those seeking improved gastrointestinal health.

The N3 line includes both full cream and skimmed milk variants, presenting high protein content essential for balanced family nutrition. Utilising specialised enzymes, Nestlé successfully reduced lactose content, leading to the development of prebiotic fibres, fostering the growth of beneficial bifidobacteria and delivering notable gut microbiome benefits, according to the company.

Stefan Palzer, Nestlé’s Chief Technology Officer, expressed enthusiasm about this innovative launch, highlighting its scientific foundation, encompassing key milk nutrients while maintaining low lactose levels and featuring special prebiotic fibres linked to diverse health advantages.

David Zhang, CEO of Zone Greater China for Nestlé, emphasised the transformative impact of N3 milk on the Chinese market, catering to lactose-intolerant and gastrointestinal-sensitive consumers, providing them with a nutritious milk option.

The company aims to expand the N3 range into additional product categories in the future, contributing to sustained health and well-being across various life stages. This launch marks Nestlé’s commitment to ongoing innovation and delivering solutions relevant to local consumer needs.
