Oppo India has recently launched a new ad campaign featuring Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor as ‘Sid’ from the popular film ‘Wake Up Sid’. The campaign, titled #SidWakesUp, aims to introduce Oppo’s latest Reno11 Series smartphones. Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Sid, is portrayed as a photographer capturing perfect outdoor portraits using the Oppo Reno11 Pro smartphone. 

The campaign, conceptualised by Famous Innovations, brings together the cast of ‘Wake Up Sid’ after 14 years. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, the campaign features Konkana Sen as Ayesha, Namit Das as Rishi, and Shikha Talsania as Laxmi. The TV commercial is set in a lavish lawn party hosted by Ayesha and Sid, who are now married. The storyline takes an unexpected twist as Sid captures a proposal moment using his Oppo Reno11 Pro smartphone. The campaign also includes an unboxing video directed by Shakun Batra, where Sid and Ayesha relocate to Goa, reminiscent of the original film. The video showcases the Oppo Reno11 Pro as a tool for capturing new memories in their exciting new chapter of life.

The Oppo Reno11 Series smartphones are highlighted throughout the campaign, emphasising their outdoor photography capabilities. The campaign showcases features such as the 32MP 2X telephoto portrait camera, portrait expert engine, and smart image matting. The aim is to position the Oppo Reno11 Series as the perfect tool for capturing high-quality outdoor portraits.
