Hero MotoCorp, the prominent two-wheeler manufacturer from India, is gearing up to establish its presence in the European market by unveiling its electric scooter lineup, scheduled to debut in mid-2024. The inaugural electric scooter, Vida V1, will first hit the markets in Spain and France before making its way to the United Kingdom. In the UK, Motogb is set to act as Hero’s distributor, while GD France and Noria Motos, affiliated with Onex Group, will handle distribution duties in France and Spain, respectively.

Hero MotoCorp, recognized for its dedication to environmentally conscious and sustainable manufacturing, is striving to solidify its position in the European market through its electric vehicles. Pawan Munjal, the Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, is optimistic that the company will earn the trust of consumers in significant European markets, mirroring its success in various global regions.

Demonstrating a commitment to bolstering its electric vehicle presence domestically, the company is making strides to reach 100 cities in India with its EV offerings by December. This underscores Hero MotoCorp’s resolve to further expand its footprint in the electric vehicle sector within its home country.

During the EICMA 2023 motor show held in Milan, Italy, Hero MotoCorp introduced the Vida V1 Pro electric scooter designed for the European and UK markets. Additionally, the company presented its latest offerings, including two new internal combustion engine (ICE) scooters named Xoom 125R and Xoom 160, as well as cutting-edge concepts such as the Concept 2.5R XTunt, Concept Lynx (an off-road electric motorcycle), and Concept Acro (an electric bike designed for children).

Niranjan Gupta, the CEO of Hero MotoCorp, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for presenting its newest products and technologies at EICMA 2023. He discussed partnerships with reputable collaborators in Spain, France, and the UK, with the goal of initiating commercial operations in these markets by mid-2024. The strategic approach involves the initial introduction of the electric scooter Vida V1, followed by the expansion of product offerings to include high-capacity premium ICE motorcycles and scooters.

Hero MotoCorp’s venture into the European market is in harmony with its overarching vision of fostering a sustainable, fair, and welcoming planet for future generations through the introduction of cutting-edge products and services.
