Blue Star has recently introduced a range of energy-efficient deep freezers with capacities ranging from 60 to 600 litres. However, beyond that, a new plant with a capacity to produce five lakh deep freezers will be required. The company is exploring options to set up the new plant in the northern region of India due to logistical advantages.

While the demand for deep freezers from modern retail stores is currently relatively small, Blue Star anticipates a significant growth in the next two to three years. The company aims to leverage the rising opportunities in the commercial refrigeration business, including cold-chain solutions for horticulture, floriculture, dairy, ice cream, processed foods, quick-service restaurants, and pharmaceuticals. The market for commercial refrigeration and cold-chain solutions is expected to witness substantial growth in the coming years.

Blue Star has a diverse product portfolio that includes central air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, room air conditioners, water purifiers, air purifiers, and air coolers. The company has established itself as a leading player in the central AC and commercial refrigeration segments.
